Pappalardo & Pappalardo responds to indictment related to Tappan Zee boat crash

Pappalardo & Pappalardo represents John Schumacher, who was one of the passengers on the boat which crashed into a barge near the Tappan Zee Bridge on the night of July 26, 2013.
Mr. Schumacher fully cooperated with Rockland County authorities in their investigation, and while authorities continue to pursue Jojo John and allege he was intoxicated by yesterday’s indictment, we maintain that a contributing factor in this tragic accident was the lack of lighting on the barges.
Mr. Schumacher intends to continue cooperating with the Rockland County authorities as necessary, and we will also continue our own investigation into this matter.
